SUMMARY:Safe Zone 102 Training
DESCRIPTION:Safe Zone Training is an educational program committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming climate for the LGBTQ (Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, Queer and Questioning) community. Safe Zone is a two-part training series (Safe Zone 101 and Safe Zone 102) and we have multiple training dates available throughout the semester. We request that all participants RSVP for SafeZone prior to attending by registering through the HR Event Calendar. \nSafe Zone 102:  an examination of the LGBTQ community through an intersectional lens\, featuring discussions and interactive activities designed to explore the intersections of race\, ethnicity\, religion\, and disability within the LGBTQ community.  Participants will also learn best practices for creating inclusive spaces for students\, friends\, and colleagues who may identify as LGBTQ.   \nIf you have any questions about Safe Zone training or other LGBTQ Student Services events and programming\, please contact Mel McCuin at mem458@newark.rutgers.edu.
